Hello! I'm Whitney Dallas .

My journey into tech has been a little bit of an unconventional one. I have always had a love of teaching and learning and spent most of my career teaching dance and English as a second language. I have a passion for learning languages and I have studied many styles of art through college. My previous opportunity allowed me to bring my teaching and creativity together by giving me a chance to create lessons on digital platforms. It made me realize just how much of a need there is for easily understandable digital design. This is especially true when one needs to transmit ideas and information quickly or when one wants to make things easy to navigate for online users. Because of this, I decided to start learning programming languages with a focus on front-end to supplement my design knowledge so that I could start creating visually pleasing yet functional digital designs, websites, and web applications. And here I am now! I'm ready to share with you the skills I've learned and my contributions to this ever-evolving part of the world.

Ayesha Hair Salon

This is a simple, static version of a website for a hair salon. All of this is purely HTML and CSS and allowed me to start pushing certain design styles such as diagnol lines and overlapping layers. Click here to visit the live site and here to see my code on GitHub.

Mini Projects

These are different challenges that I have come across online that I have been using to learn and refine skills. I feel like one of the best teachers is building things yourself so I like to keep a steady flow of mini projects going so that I can practice different aspects of a well-designed website. Personal Designs

An extra skill that I bring is the ability to design digital images, illustrations, and designs to my projects. This site is an example of that.
